Tuning
We tune instruments of all makes. Brand name instruments such as Hohner, Weltmeister, Zupan etc. are also in very good hands here. Expert customer advice is always available.
A complete tune-up comprises the following steps:
- Remove all reeds.
- Clean reeds and pin blocks.
- Adjust tongue position if required.
- Pre-tune (necessary in the case of rust stains, heavy contamination or if tuning to another pitch is required).
- Equip reeds with new valves.
- Apply high-quality wax to reeds.
Under certain circumstances, an instrument may need to be retuned. In such cases, the valves must be working properly, the wax on the reeds must still be soft and smooth, and the tongues must not be too dirty.
Tuning according to customer request
- to frequencies (e.g. a"885, 890 Hz etc.)
- Musette tuning (from extremely flat to extra sharp)
- double tremolo (e.g. with Steirish harmonicas from flat via medium to strong)
- tremolo (from hardly perceptible to a strong hovering tone, progressing uniformly or rising)
- tuning of entire orchestras
Our shipping service:
- Providing and supplying the appropriate mailing cartons.
- All parcels are carefully packed and marked according to experience.
- Parcels are insured in accordance with customer specifications or at our own discretion.
- In the case of high-quality instruments and orders comprising 3 instruments and more, personal collection/delivery may be agreed upon.
